REFUNDS & ISSUES POLICY — ONLINE STORE Last updated: May 17, 2026 We want every customer to be happy with their order. If anything isn't right — or if you simply change your mind — we make it straightforward to return or replace your item within 30 days. 1. 30-DAY RETURN WINDOW You have 30 calendar days from the delivery date (as recorded by the carrier) to: - Return an unused item in its original condition for any reason, including change of mind; - Report a damaged, defective, or incorrect item for a free return, replacement, or full refund. 2. CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS If you'd like to return an item simply because you changed your mind: - The item must be unused and in its original condition (no scratches, paint, sanding, modifications, or damage beyond what's normal for inspection). - You cover the return shipping cost. - We refund the product cost in full to your original payment method. Original outbound shipping is non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. - Email madeinlayers3d.store@gmail.com or use the Return Request form below to start a return. We'll reply with the return address. - We aim to process refunds within 5 business days of receiving the returned item. 3. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR WRONG ITEM If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery with: - Your order number; - Clear photos of the issue; - For shipping damage, photos of the outer packaging. If we confirm the issue, we will (your choice) send a free replacement OR issue a full refund INCLUDING original shipping. We cover return shipping in these cases (or skip the return entirely if the item isn't worth the return postage). 4. CUSTOM-PERSONALIZED ITEMS Items personalized at your request — engraved or printed with a name, date, or text; produced in a custom color not in our standard variant list; or any commission work — are non-returnable for change of mind because they cannot be resold. We will still honor damage/defect claims on these items within 30 days. 5. WHAT IS NOT A DEFECT The following are normal characteristics of 3D printing and do NOT qualify as a defect (though you can still return them as a change-of-mind return within 30 days): - Minor layer lines, faint seams, or light surface texture; - Color variation between spools, batches, or what is shown on a monitor versus the finished part; - Dimensional tolerances within ±0.5 mm; - Small support marks or stringing on intricate geometry; - Wear or damage caused by use beyond the product's intended decorative / hobbyist purpose; - Any modification, painting, sanding, or post-processing done by the buyer. 6. WRONG ADDRESS / FAILED DELIVERY If a package is returned to us because the address you provided was incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable, we will refund the product cost (less the return-to-sender shipping cost charged by the carrier) OR re-ship at your expense — your choice. We are not responsible for packages marked delivered by the carrier but reported missing; please file a claim with the carrier and we will help where we can. 7. LOST IN TRANSIT Once the carrier accepts a package, risk of loss passes to you. If tracking has not updated in 10 business days (domestic), email us and we will open a carrier trace. Once a carrier confirms the package is lost, we will typically replace the order or issue a full refund at your choice. 8. CANCELLATIONS BEFORE SHIPPING You may cancel an order for a full refund before production starts (typically within 12 hours of ordering). Once production has begun, cancellation is at our discretion; partial refunds may apply to cover filament and machine time already used. You can also wait for the item to arrive and use the 30-day change-of-mind return. 9. UNAUTHORIZED CHARGEBACKS If you dispute a charge with PayPal or your card issuer without first contacting us and giving us a reasonable chance to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to provide all order documentation, shipping evidence, and prior communications to the payment processor and to refuse future orders. 10. HOW TO START A RETURN Use the Return Request form below or email madeinlayers3d.store@gmail.com with your order number, the reason for return, and (for damage claims) photos. We aim to respond within 2 business days. 11. REFUND TIMING Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. PayPal balance refunds typically post within 1–3 business days; card refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank. 12.
